Fall (of the empire) Fundraiser

BK ROT will be a participating vendor at @artistsformutualaid's Fall (of the empire) Fundraiser for (and at) Mayday Space!

From the event page: Welcome to Artists For Mutual Aid's Fall (of the empire) Fundraiser! We are a volunteer-run collective of NYC activists that host art markets that fundraise for mutual aid groups and other local social justice efforts. This year we are raising funds for the beloved Mayday Space. Channel your justified rage, community love, and abundant pockets to help keep their doors open! The community needs you. We will celebrate with a night of food, art, music, drag, raffles, mutual aid, and more!

The event will feature local NYC artists selling art prints, ceramics, flash tattoos, soaps, jewelry, and edibles. We will also be entertained by the best DJs AND some of the finest drag artists in NYC to end our night in high spirits.

There will also be extensive raffle baskets to bid on. Prizes include tattoo sessions, bud, gift cards, handmade furniture, unique paintings, etc. Winners will be chosen at the end of the event. Follow us on Instagram @artistsformutualaidnyc to keep updated!!

Transparency

We fundraise through ticket sales, raffles and donations from artists. Instead of vendor fees, each artist donates 15% - 20% of their proceeds. Raffle items are generously donated by artists and local establishments! Raised funds will also pay performers/DJs and the rest will all go to Mayday Space.

Food & Drink

There will be food! If you spend more than $10 per ticket, you will get a meal token with your ticket. There will also be donation based beer and hard seltzers and potentially edibles and other additional food vendors.

History

The first two fundraisers were for the No North Brooklyn Pipeline Coalition. We raised $1500 the first time and $2500 the second time. The third fundraiser was for BK rot and DEAP (Divine Explosions Arts Program) and raised around $4500!! As we steadily increase, let’s make this years goal $8000!!
